VIETNAMESE AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE RECEIVED THAI AMBASSADOR TO POLAND AND UKRAINE
On the afternoon of 28 February 2019, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan warmly received Thai Ambassador to Poland and Ukraine, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi during the latter's trip to Ukraine to work with the Ukrainain Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan cordially welcomed Madame Ambassador Sansanee Sahussarungsi and briefed her on the structure and some main tasks of the Vietnamese Embassy. He shared with her the joint activities of the Embassies of the 3 ASEAN countries in Kiev namely the Vietnamese Embassy, the Indonesian Embassy and the Malaysian Embassy. He also informed her that as chairman of ASEAN, the Vietnamese Embassy will host the ASEAN flag raising ceremony in early August and an ASEAN food promotion afterward, and invited her to the 2 events. Madame Ambassador Sansanee Sahussarungsi expressed her sincere thanks to Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan and promised that she will try her best to attend the two events or will send a representative and/or the Honorary Consul in Kiev to attend the events on her behalf. She also shared with him some general information about the Thai Embassy in Poland and some actitivites of the ASEAN Community in Warsaw with the participation of the 5 Embassies of the ASEAN countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Phillipines and Vietnam. The two Ambassadors then exchanged information about the Vietnamese and Thai communities in Ukraine as well as shared experiences regarding their respective citizen assistance and protection.
