The Ukrainian authorities thanked Viet Nam for its humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people in the context of the war and emphasized friendship in difficult times. They highly appreciated the active and well-organized evacuation process of Vietnamese citizens, thereby helping to reduce the workload on the Ukrainian authorities when dealing with a very large number of evacuees. The authorities believed that the two sides should continue to tightly cooperate in citizen protection to meet the demands of the actual situation.

In his return, Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach briefly informed about the situation of the Vietnamese community in Ukraine before and after the war. He stressed their difficulties and problems now when they wanted to return to Ukraine to live and work. The Ambassador requested the Ukrainian authorities to issue appropriate measures to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Vietnamese community. Particularly, special attention should be paid to those who had been in Ukraine before but now lost important documents like the residence permits.

The two sides agreed that there would be instructions for citizens to deal with their problems on a case-by-case basis. The two sides would also meet directly to coordinate when needed./.
