Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach welcomed guests on the occasion of 30 years of Viet Nam - Ukraine diplomatic relations
On January 24, 2022, at the headquarters of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the S.R. of Viet Nam Nguyen Hong Thach welcomed guests, including Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Mr. Konstantin Cherniavskyy, Director of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant Mr. Oleksandr Kryvokon, Vice Director of the Gorchakov Fund Mr. Andrey Gorchakov, and Head of department of Odessa Medical University Mr. Ruslan Vastyanov, to congratulate the Embassy on the occasion of 30 years of Viet Nam - Ukraine diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach expressed his sincere thanks for the warm affection of Ukrainian friends and partners dedicated for the country of Viet Nam, and for the Ambassador and the Embassy, as well. He would also like to send best wishes to Ukrainian friends and partners on this occasion.

Later in a short meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach agreed with the Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine on the preparation for the Art Exhibition to celebrate 30 years of bilateral diplomatic relations on February 10 in the city of Kyiv. Both would work closely together to ensure that the event would take place successfully, contributing to promoting cultural exchange, mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples of Viet Nam and Ukraine. Mr. Konstantin Cherniavskyy said that Ukrainian painters were very much excited with the initiative. They had sent more than 120 paintings figuring the images of the country and people of Viet Nam to the exhibition. The two sides agreed to continue coordinating to organize more activities this year to mark the 30th anniversary of Viet Nam – Ukraine diplomatic relations.

Head of department of the Odessa Medical University proposed to strengthen cooperation in medical training for Vietnamese students. The Ambassador welcomed this initiative. He highly appreciated the potential of the University. This used to be the cradle training many Vietnamese doctors, including the Honorary Consul of Viet Nam in Odessa Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh and Director of Viet – Xo Hospital Mr. Nguyen Van Ha. Mr. Andrey Gorchakov from the Gorchakov Fund affirmed that he would be able to provide support for talented students with financial difficulties to study in the country of Ukraine.
Director of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant expected to participate in the overall maintenance and repair of Antonov aircrafts purchased by Viet Nam. Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach agreed with this proposal and said he would support transferring the Plant's official proposal to the targeted Vietnamese partners./.
