Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach launched the Viet Nam painting exhibition in Uzgorod
On August 11, in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, at the Uzhgorod Museum, an exhibition of paintings about Viet Nam took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Ukraine. Attending the event, on the Ukrainian side, there were acting President of Zakapattia Provincial Council Andrei Sheketa, Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NUAU) Konstantin Chernyavskyy, and Ukrainian art lovers. On the Vietnamese side, there were the Ambassador, his Spouse, the Embassy's staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in western Ukraine.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach emphasized the exhibition prove that the friendship between Viet Nam and Ukraine continued to develop despite difficulties of the current conflict. The event also showed the enthusiasm of Ukrainian friends for the activities of the Embassy to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between Viet Nam and Ukraine.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the NUAU Konstantin Chernyavskyy highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnamese Embassy to encourage Ukrainian artists to compose arts regarding the theme of Viet Nam. He emphasized the love of Ukrainian artists for the project as well as its success to let the Ukrainians know know about Viet Nam through the emotions of Ukrainian painters.

Acting President of Zakapattia Provincial Council Andrei Sheketa emphasized the meaning of this culture activity in the war situation. He said that through the paintings about Viet Nam, he understood more about the country and people of Viet Nam, and Ukraine as well. He encouraged the people in Zakarpattia to visit the exhibition.
At the ceremony, some representatives of Ukrainian social organizations also expressed their love for Viet Nam as well as the effort of the Vietnamese Embassy to help the peoples of the two countries better understand each other though cultural projects.
On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach also awarded certificates of recognition for painters in Zakarpattia who submitted their works to the exhibition.
